In the Republic of Belarus one of the first places in the structure of morbidity, mortality and disability of the population, as in previous years, are occupied by diseases of the circulatory system (BIA). The urgency of the BSC problem is due to the high prevalence of this pathology leading to temporary disability..

The total incidence from BSC in 2009. made up 2934,8, growth from 2765,4 in 2008. on 10 thousand population. The primary morbidity rate in the adult population decreased by 11,2% (from 354,8 on 100 thousand population in 2008. to 315,2 in 2009.).

In the structure of diseases of the circulatory system, there is an increase in the level of coronary heart disease (CHD) and cerebrovascular diseases (CVB): the total incidence of coronary artery disease in 2009 year was 1215,9 on 10 thous. adult population (in 2008. – 1125,0, in 2007. – 988,6; 2006r. – 942,4), the general incidence of CVD - 554,2 on 10 thous. adult population (in 2008. – 533,1, in 2007. – 479,0; 2006r. – 568,2).
