The health care institution "Minsk Clinical Center for Phthisiopulmonology" was formed as a result of the reorganization of the health care institutions of the phthisiological service of the city of Minsk by joining the health care institution "1st City TB Dispensary" to the health care institution "2nd City TB Dispensary" and renaming the latter into the health care institution "Minsk Clinical Phthisiopulmonology Center" (Further – Center).
The Center is a specialized institution of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, designed to organize and provide anti-tuberculosis care to adults and children in eight districts of the city of Minsk (Factory, Guerrilla, Leninist, Frunzensky, Central, Soviet, October, Pervomaisky), is a methodological and operational center for organizing the fight against tuberculosis, and the involvement of the general health network and its various services in the planning and implementation of key TB interventions. The second direction of the Center's work is the provision of specialized medical care to patients with pathology of the respiratory system.. On the basis of the institution, the chief freelance phthisiatrician of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee conducts receptions.
Clinical center functions:
– planning and organizing tuberculosis control in the service area;
– organization and implementation of preventive measures;
– revealing, registration and registration of all patients with tuberculosis, as well as all persons, belonging to groups at increased risk of its development;
– dispensary observation of all contingents, registered in the center;
– organization of treatment for tuberculosis patients.
– provision of specialized medical care for tuberculosis and nonspecific respiratory diseases, patients with the consequences of postponed COVID-19 pneumonia.
