HIV infection (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome – AIDS, human immunodeficiency virus infection – HIV infection, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome – AIDS, acquired immunodeficiency syndromes – EIDS, syndrome d’immunodeficience acquise – HOW) – slowly progressive infectious disease, resulting from infection with the human immunodeficiency virus, affecting the immune system, resulting in the body becoming highly susceptible to opportunistic infections and tumors, which ultimately lead to the death of the patient.
Classification CDC 1993 of the year
To determine the stage of HIV infection, most clinics still use the classification CDC 1993 g., which takes into account both clinical manifestations, and CD4 lymphocyte count.
