Children's health is one of the most important medical and social priorities of the state., aimed at improving the health of mother and child,decrease in morbidity and mortality in children, ensuring safe motherhood is reflected in the National Strategy for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development for the period up to 2020 g., the National Program of Demographic Security at 2011-2015 yy.
The strategic goal in the field of improving health is to create a state mechanism to support a healthy lifestyle., the formation of a high demand for personal health, creating prerequisites for its satisfaction. 2004 year was organized by the "Republican Scientific and Practical Center" Mother Walking ", which is currently the country's leading institution in the field of obstetrics, gynecology, neonatology, Pediatrics and medical genetics. Specialists of the State Institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Center" Mother and Child "provide highly qualified medical care to pregnant women with the most severe extragenital and obstetric-gynecological pathology,premature and very premature babies, детям с перинатальным поражением нервнойсистемы из всех регионов Республики Беларусь.В Республике Беларусь самый низкий уровень материнскойсмертности среди стран СНГ.
The leading place in it is occupied by extragenital pathology., due to a pre-existing or developed disease during pregnancy (diseases of the cardiovascular system,diabetes,kidney disease,malignant neoplasms). Particular attention is paid to the protection of the reproductive health of citizens, family planning service, early diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the reproductive system.(National strategy for sustainable socio-economic development for the period up to 2020 g.).FROM 2000 year in the Republic of Belarus there is a steady decline in the infant mortality rate. IN 2003 r. infant mortality rate was 7,7 the case of 1000 born alive, and in 2011 r. dropped to 3,9 and is the lowest among CIS countries. IN 2011 year compared to 2003 year, the infant mortality rate decreased by 51%.

The mortality rate of children under the age of 5 years is an important indicator of children's health. It is considered one of the main indicators of the well-being of society., as it reflects not only the influence of biological risk factors on child mortality, but also the level of their social well-being. The decrease in infant and child mortality was facilitated by the reorganization of the activities of subsidiary institutions of the republic on the principle of multi-level perinatal centers,effective measures to optimize aid in urban areas (especially in Minsk), carried out by these centers,introduction into practice of advanced technologies of neonatal care,as well as reducing the incidence of children, caused by manageable reasons. 2003 the trend of increasing fertility. IN 2011 year was born 109 364 children, which is 8.5% more, than for 1998 year (92 645 children). So the birth rate increased from 9,1 on 1000 population in 1998 r. up to 11.5 ‰ c 2011 Having achieved significant results in reducing infant and child mortality through the development of the health care system,aimed at combating the causes of death of an exogenous nature(infectious diseases), it is necessary to achieve a reduction in infant mortality, caused by endogenous causes of the 1st and 2nd order(non-infectious and congenital malformations), which prevail among the causes of infant and child mortality and disability. Particular attention should be paid to reducing avoidable infant mortality from external causes (accidents, poisoning, trauma).The last decade has been characterized by a stabilization and a decrease in the rate of primary child disability: from 17,3 on 10 thousand population aged from 0 to 18 years in 2000 year before 16,98 on 10 thous. in 2010. In the structure of disability, the first place is taken by congenital malformations, second - diseases of the nervous system, third - pathology of the endocrine system. The high rate of primary child disability in the younger age group is of concern (from 0 up to 4 years). This age accounts for about 40% all cases of disability. Among diseases, causing child disability in this age group, one of the first places is occupied by congenital anomalies. This indicates the need to intensify measures for the primary prevention of child disability.,contributing to the strengthening

children's health and reducing their incidence, disability and mortality, are the creation and implementation of new methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pregnant women and children;improving access of the population to reproductive health services,antenatal and perinatal care services; introduction of early intervention programs into the practice of ambulatory and polyclinic institutions, aimed at preventing child disability;обеспечение детей экологически чистым питанием с использованиемсовременных технологий для решения медико-генетических проблем.Здоровая семья является результатом приоритетной заботыгосударства и общества в целом.
