Why is tuberculosis dangerous??
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease. The causative agent is Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MBT), formerly called Koch's wand (named after the person who discovered it 1882 r. German bacteriologist) causes the development of a characteristic inflammatory process in the affected organs. The modern name of the disease comes from the Latin. tuberculum - tubercle. The old names for the disease are tubercles and consumption. (from rus. languish). Infection occurs mainly through the aerogenic route from patients, which release an infectious aerosol with phlegm when coughing, sneezing and talking. Read completely »
